I was in a bad, bad place.​

Paps, somehow, knew. Around this time they began hitting me with their cameras, deliberately, trying to incite me.

They'd brush, smack, jostle, or just straight wallop me, hoping to get a rise, hoping I'd retaliate, because that would create a better photo, and thus more money in their pockets. A snap of me in 2007 fetched about thirty thousand pounds. Down payment on a flat. But a snap of me doing something aggressive? That might be a down payment on a house in the countryside.

Got into one scrap that became big news. I came away with a swollen nose, and my bodyguard was livid. You made those paps rich, Harry! You happy? Happy?

No, I said. No, I'm not happy.

The paps had always been grotesque people, but as I reached maturity they were worse. You could see it in their eyes, their body language. They were more emboldened, more radicalized, just as young men in Irak had been radicalized.

Their mullahs were editors, the same ones who'd vowed to do better after Mummy died. The editors promised publicly to never again send photographers chasing after people, and now, ten years later, they were back to their old ways.

D'une manière ou d'une autre les paparazzis savaient. À cette période, ils commencèrent à me frapper avec leur caméras délibérément essayant de me pousser à bout.

Ils me frôlaient, giflaient, bousculaient ou carrément me tapaient espérant avoir une réaction, espérant que je riposte, parce que ça ferait de meilleures photos et donc plus d'argent dans leurs poches.

Un cliché de moi en 2007 se vendait pour 30 000 pounds. Un apport sur un appartement. 

Mais un cliché de moi étant agressif ? Ça vaudrait un apport sur une maison de campagne.

Je me suis battu une unique fois et ça a fait les gros titres. Je suis revenu le nez amoché et mon garde du corps était livide.

​

"- Tu rends ces paparazzis riches Harry! Tu es content?".

"-Non!" ai-je répondu, "-Non je ne suis pas content."

​

Les paparazzis ont toujours été des personnes grotesques , mais quand j'ai pris de l'âge, ils devenaient pires.

Vous pouvez le voir dans leurs yeux, dans leur comportement. ils étaient plus engagés, plus radicaux , comme un jeune homme en Irak. Leurs mollahs étaient leurs éditeurs, les mêmes qui avaient juré de faire mieux après la mort de Maman.

Les éditeurs ont promis de ne plus jamais envoyer leurs photographes après les gens, et maintenant, dix ans plus tard, ils étaient de retour à leurs vieilles habitudes.

Translation workshop

For more than a month, Mrs Bru has come every Friday in our class during two hours to teach us how to make a good translation.

Who is Mrs Bru? She is an official translator . She is recognized by many publishing houses .

Her job is to translate novels and literary texts form English to French .She translated a lot of books as for exemple : "The hate you give" or "Tuff".

She is also one of the 2 official translators of "Spare" the recent book from Prince Harry.

Our lessons with Mrs Bru: When we study with Mrs Bru, we are in groups of 4. We try to translate an excerpt of 5 to 10 lines. Sometimes, it can be a passage from a novel she translated and this is interesting because we can understand her point of view when she translates a novel.

During our translations,  Mrs Bru often comes in our groups to see if we are productives .

At this moment, she can give us a lot of advice to improve our translations.

I think that these lessons are very important for the final exam !!!!
